You Have Got to Be Kidding Me

Forgive my elitism, but a third year law student really ought to know that it’s not pronounced “kreem day la kreem”.

I actually disagree with the implication of the first poster that this is something that can be attributed to the normal yinzer stupidity. I think this goes way beyond it. The phrase itself is as American as "schmuck." That is, it's a foreign phrase which has more or less been integrated into American vernacular in a pretty standard manner, at least in terms of how it is pronounced. I believe this is a situation of a higher level of stupidity. Though it most likely is one of those filthy "yinzers." God I hate that word. I'm putting way too much thought/effort into this post. This is why my papers never get done...
