Eight Days a Week
Apparently, some one at the Department of Transportation has invented a new day of the week. On the way into the city just now I passed a sign saying that a certain stretch of highway would be closed from "Friday thru Saterday". Saterday.

Ok, as a transportation engineer, I feel I must comment on this...most transportation engineers can't write or spell worth a damn. They aren't stupid or even ignorant...writing is just not a skill that is emphasized. Which is why I--the engineer/PhD in literature student (i.e. freak!)--gets to do all the technical writing and proofreading work in my office. Which I enjoy. :)
